Head of Chiang Mai Program

In this newly created position of leadership, you will have a unique opportunity to lead the College's international learning experience for Year 9 students in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Immersing yourself in the program, you will have extended periods based at the Sum Pun campus, allowing you to build strong relationships with the Chiang Mai teaching team, the Director of Sum Pun and the Thai support staff. As a VIT registered teacher and a dynamic leader, you will be passionate about education, student development and international learning. You will bring demonstrated experience in student wellbeing, child safety, duty of care and risk management, alongside strong organisational, communication, problem-solving and team leadership capabilities.

A culturally responsive approach, experience working across cultures and relevant outdoor education, first aid or international education experience will be highly regarded.

Chiang Mai Program Teacher

Join us in this exciting opportunity as a VIT registered teacher, working with students during six-week residential international learning experiences, helping develop independence, resilience, intercultural understanding, leadership skills and personal growth.

Working under the direction of the Head of Chiang Mai Program, as part of a dedicated teaching and experienced local Thai support team, you will provide pastoral care, supervision and wellbeing support to students. You will maintain strong connections between the Chiang Mai Program and Kardinia’s Bell Post Hill campus, rotating between each campus, with two teachers based in Chiang Mai supporting students, while one teacher remains at the Bell Post Hill campus preparing the next student cohort, supporting returning students as well as providing relief teaching in the Senior School.
