Application Process

Home Admissions Local Students Application Process

Having chosen Kardinia International College as the school of preference for your child’s education, please ensure you have read the relevant Student Wellbeing and Management document and the College’s Privacy Policy. We also encourage you to take the time to attend one of our College Tours, which will give you an insight into what Kardinia International College has to offer your child.

Our main intake for our Junior School is three-year old kindergarten, and Year 7 in the Senior School. In these main intake years, all applicants are interviewed the year prior for a potential place in the College. Vacancies in other year levels become available when existing families leave the College. Our Admissions team will contact you if there is a potential vacancy for your child.

Applications to the College only need to be made once, as we will manage your application and roll it over each year until we are able to offer you a place.

To be eligible for our three year old Kindergarten program, students must turn three by 30 April in that year.

For our main intake years (Year 7 and three-year-old Kindergarten), applications for a given year’s enrolment close the year prior.

For Year 7 in 2024 applicants, Applications for Enrolment will close on Monday 6 February 2023 for our main intake process.

For three year old Kindergarten 2024 applicants, Applications for Enrolment will close on Monday 6 March 2023 for our main intake process.

Please note: Waitlist priority is provided to children of current permanent staff, siblings of currently enrolled students, or students who have graduated Year 12, and children of Alumni. To receive Alumni waitlist priority either, or both parents need to have graduated Year 12 at Kardinia International College.

To begin the enrolment of your child at Kardinia International College, please click the link below and complete the online Application for Enrolment form. Please note that an individual Application for Enrolment form must be submitted for each child. There is a non-refundable $150 Application for Enrolment administration fee.

The online application takes around 30 minutes to complete and requires documentation to be scanned and attached. Please allow for this when beginning the application process.

What happens next?

  • The application will be processed and an email acknowledging receipt of your application is sent to your nominated email address.
  • Applicants for enrolment outside of our main intake years (three year old Kindergarten and Year 7) will be placed on our College waitlist. A member of our Admissions team will contact you when a relevant vacancy becomes available.
  • If you are contacted regarding a vacancy, if relevant our Admissions team will request your child’s academic reports and most recent NAPLAN results in order to discuss the potential vacancy with our Principal.
  • If the College Principal agrees to the potential vacancy, our Admissions team will contact you to make arrangements for an interview with a senior member of our College team.
  • Once interviewed, if successful, a letter of offer will be sent. To confirm the place, a non-refundable deposit must be paid to the College, which will be credited towards the student’s fee account upon commencement.

The current deposit fees are $250 for the three and four year old Kindergarten programs, and $500 for Foundation Year through to Year 12.

If you have any questions regarding your application, please do not hesitate to contact the College’s Marketing and Admissions Team on marketing@kardinia.vic.edu.au  or phone  (03) 5278 9999.
